Does Jungle invest in ideas?

Yes, we actively invest in early-stage concepts that demonstrate potential for growth and impact. Our portfolio includes now-Unicorns like Moglix, Kredivo, and Livspace, which started as concepts when they came to us. More recently, we've backed emerging ventures like Dat Bike, coto, Distil, and AlphaGeo, who each illustrate a unique market opportunity and disruptive potential. We recognise the importance of being the first believer in a concept and offering that crucial "Yes" to a founder with a promising idea.

What are Jungle’s key criteria for early-stage investments?

Our focus is on the Founder x Market fit, often stemming from relevant operational experience or a deep understanding of the problem being addressed. Everything else, we build together!

Can I discuss multiple ideas with you to evaluate them?

Yes, we welcome the opportunity to evaluate different ideas with you. We can help assess their merits and provide frameworks to identify the strongest Founder x Market fit.

Does Jungle focus on specific sectors or categories?

We are sector-agnostic and continuously evaluate tech and tech-enabled ventures across India and Southeast Asia. We have experienced successes and gained valuable insights across consumer, B2B and software, as well as new and emerging spaces like aerospace, Web3, Climate Tech etc. Please see our entire portfolio here.

Can I pitch my business if I’ve already raised funds and have a product and customers?

Certainly. While we prefer to be your first cheque, we are open to evaluating businesses with existing angel or friends-and-family (F&F) Seed funding.

What is Jungle’s first cheque size?

Our cheque size starts at $2M, structured as 50% equity and 50% no-cap convertible notes to ensure that you do not give away too much equity at this early stage.

Are there ownership requirements for your first cheque?

No, we do not impose ownership thresholds. The First Cheque@Jungle model is designed to avoid misalignment of incentives, allowing for a healthier long-term partnership.

Can other VCs & angels participate alongside Jungle’s first cheque?

100% yes. We welcome co-investments and will help you build a network of investors and partners who can contribute meaningfully to your venture.

How do I reach out to get the process started?

To be considered, write to us at firstcheque@jungle.vc. The team reviews opportunities on a rolling basis, and invitations for meetings and decisions will also be provided on a rolling basis.

What is your investment process?

Our process generally involves 3-5 meetings with the founding team.We’ll also conduct industry research and engage with your future customers and stakeholders to ensure our thorough understanding of your thesis and business.

How long does your decision-making process usually take?

We strive to express interest within 2 weeks, with the overall process typically completed within 2-4 weeks.

In which areas will Jungle typically provide support and get involved?

At the pre-Seed and Seed stages, we focus on helping you reach product-market fit as quickly as possible. We provide hands-on support in areas such as product development, go-to-market strategies, pricing, and team building. We also help establish the right legal and financial structures. No workstream is too big or small for us — we’re ready to roll up our sleeves and dive in with you.

Do you participate in follow-on rounds?

Absolutely. We stay deeply involved with our First Cheque@Jungle companies as they scale, including leading your Series A when the time comes. We have continued funding companies like Dat Bike, AMP and Coto, amongst others, beyond their initial Seed investment and past Series A, and have backed others from idea to pre-IPO, such as Moglix, Kredivo, and Livspace. By Series B, we typically invest up to $10M, ensuring you have the resources needed to scale effectively.

Would you consider investments in Series A or B rounds?
